I recently completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sound Design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I have always been interested in music, but more on a technical/production side than performing. I graduated from Wake Forest University in 2014, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Music and Film Studies. My summers in college were spent gaining experience in the musical world through both internships with radio stations and sound production in addition to a job at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, a Live Nation sponsored venue, in Charlotte, NC.
In 2016, I started volunteering at a local community theater as a sound designer and board operator. I used my skills I acquired while working live events at Wake Forest University and put them towards sound for musicals. This made me realize that sound is where I want to be. I hope to use this degree and put it towards a career designing sound systems for themed entertainment.
